4 San Francisco
I left my condo at 3:30am and got to the airport by 4:30. I wasn’t really awake yet so I was lucky that a family member took me to the airport. (Thanks Mom!) My plane took off at 6:10. We landed in San Francisco at 11:30 (which is like 2:30 our time).
Right away I met around 30 other teachers going to Japan. We had all gathered in one spot to wait for a shuttle to our hotel. People have come from Alaska, Hawaii, Florida, Texas, Virginia, Nebraska . . . I think there will be at least one person from every state. (there are 200 teachers going and 50 states. 200 divided by 50 = ???)
At our hotel we ate lunch and went to some workshops. For dinner we went to the Japanese Consul General’s Official Residence. That is a photograph of me standing with him in his very fancy hallway. Guess what we had for dinner? Post your guess in the comments section.
I’ll try to get someone to help me load the pictures right onto the page. Technical difficulties . . .
Tomorrow my plane flies out at 11:30am. I don’t have to leave for the airport until 9:00 am. That will feel like 12:00 noon. I’m hoping that I can go to the hotel gym before I leave and run on the treadmill for a while. I need some exercise.

An auction is when people put things in a certent basket.I think you were taking a picture of the squid.I saw your name in the paper because you went to Japan with 200 other teachers.I told everyone in the class .
I think it was cool because it said your name before 200 teachers.
